Dan Rice Regatta Results
On a beautiful spring day, we had 11 boats racing at the Michigan Sailing Club. We started the day with light wind and it steadily increased all afternoon. Throughout the day there was very tight action, especially at the marks. At the end of the day, Paul and Brian finished first in their Albacore. Ovidiu and Jane finished 2nd in the 470 and Carey and Theresa finished 3rd in the Vanguard 15. Ovidiu and Jane will have their names added to the trophy on the club house as they were the top finisher in a club boat. Thank you to everyone that turned out, especially PRO George Griswold, & Chef Robert Parker.
Looking ahead: There will not be Saturday Boat School on June 4. The USSail instructor course will run for 4 days through June 7. During that time there will be limited safety boat availability as boats may be used in the training class.
