Sailing Club Members,
We will be holding our annual Finance and Election meeting on Thursday, October 26th at 6:30pm at the Dexter Pub (upstairs) on main street in Dexter. The club will provide pizza and salad; drinks will be available for purchase.
Please try to come if you can. We need a quorum to conduct business and your input is valuable.
We will be discussing and voting on the following items:
- Approval of 2018 budget
- Approval of funds transfer from holding account to operating & savings accounts.
- Approval of 2018 Dues Policy
- Election of 2018 club officers
- Amend the club rules to
a) require signature of parent or legal guardian on liability waiver for minors
b) allow paddle craft to be used in the immediate vicinity of the dock without needing to sign it out
c) Separate rule 8a from 8b and renumber as 8 & 9
d) renumber rules 9 -12 to follow in sequence
e) revise verbiage that re-iterates Michigan boating laws
f) remove the red flag rule
- Discussion of the future of the fleet. While no specific proposal is on the agenda, motion(s) from the floor to purchase boat(s) from the fleet fund will be in-order. A 2/3rds majority of those present and voting will be necessary for approval.
