Official Dues Policy:
- A Family Membership includes two adults in a relationship (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife,spouse, or significant-other) or a single parent, plus their dependents and children who live at the same address.
- A Student is defined as in the club constitution: A Student means any individual who is registered as a student at the University of Michigan for the current term or who was registered during the previous term.
- The Student Family rate applies if anyone in the family is a Student. (as defined in #2 above)
- Annual memberships are rounded backwards or forwards to the nearest month. Upon renewal,the expiration date is incremented one year.

- Sailing Team memberships:
- Sailing Team members pay dues to the team, and the team remits to the club one half the Student academic year rate for the first twenty Team members and $5 per Team member thereafter.
- Team members current on their dues to the team are considered dues-paying club members with all the privileges of any other club member.
- The Executive Board may give free or reduced-price memberships
- To charitable causes;
- As part of the deal when buying or selling used equipment;
- In thanks for a non-member making a substantial donation of goods or services;
- Or in other circumstances that it judges to be in the club’s interest.
We require that anyone using the club boats or facilities sign our Liability Waiver
Children under age eighteen shall be supervised by a parent or other adult at all times. University of Michigan Students under eighteen who are Members are exempt from this rule.
