We rely on volunteers to hold the Club open.
Instructions for use:
Helm Rated Members and Skippers are encouraged to use the above signup form when PLANNING* to hold the Club “OPEN for sailing” OR when club members will be present for special activities. In addition to the signup sheet, common practice has been for volunteers to also send an email to the Club’s email “Discussion List” when planning to open the club for sailing. You may opt to sign up to receive emails from the Discussion List here. The signup form and email also serves as means to make any last minute cancellations or changes due to weather, personal issues, or other factors. Checking both for changes before you drive out is recommended.
*Note: Both the signup sheet and email list are tools to help members know when the Club is open without having to guess. Helm Rated Members and Skippers may not always utilize it for a variety of reasons, though it is encouraged. This signup form should not be relied upon as the sole authority as to whether or not the club is open for sailing. In addition, the club may be “Open for Sailing” at other times.

Alternatively, you may try calling the phone in the club house. If you get our voicemail, we are closed. If it rings continuously or someone picks up, we are open for sailing! If you are trying to contact us for reasons other than to see if we are open, you will find that email will yield the most accurate/fastest response times.
