Business Meeting

As we wind down the sailing season, it’s time for our annual business/finance meeting & election of officers. It will be held Thursday, October 15th, at 6:30 pm at Aubrees Tavern, 8031 Main St, Dexter.

The club will provide pizza and salad for all members who attend, and there will be a cash bar.  After the meeting members are encouraged to hang out and socialize.  Hopefully, this will increase turn-out and we’ll have less trouble obtaining a quorum.  C’mon out, there’s free pizza!

​We’ll review the 201​5​ budget, look at the long-term financial forecast, and vote on the following:

• the 201​6​ budget
• the 201​6​ dues policy
• funds transfer from our holding account to capital & operating accounts
• ​minor ​changes to the Club Rules
• capital expenditures
• transfer funds from the fleet replacement fund to the capital asset replacement fund
• election of officers for 201​6​

Capital expenditures include:

• purchase of ​two new Laser sailboats
• purchase of ​seven launch dollies for our Laser fleet
• ​reimbursement for members who complete US Sailing Instructor Certification​ in 2016.
