Winter Meetings
It’s cold and the water is hard so we having a series of indoor educational meetings this winter. Our first meeting was held December 21st at Ron Sell’s workshop and a group of 10 participated at the workshop. He covered fiberglass materials– epoxy, glass cloth, kevlar, carbon fiber, core materials then proceeded to repair a 470 centerboard that was cracked last summer. The group then adjourned to Dexter’s Pub to discuss all topics related to sailing and boats.
The next meeting topic is Celestial Navigation with Carey Jones at the Dexter Library at 7:00pm.
On February 22nd at 7pm. Jeff Kaloustian will lead a discussion on the Future of our Fleet at the Dexter Library at 7:00pm.
Our final winter meeting will be: Weather: presented by Steve Considine, a Meteorologist with NOAA He’ll tell us everything we want to know about Thunderstorms. It will be on March 29, at the Dexter Library at 7:00pm.
