Memorial Day Weekend
at the Michigan Sailing Club
Hello MSC Sailors!
Memorial Day weekend is coming up and there is a LOT happening at the Club! We encourage you to come out and enjoy the various activities and goings-on! This is a great way to kick off the season, catch up with old salts, and meet new members.
Several activities are planned, from sailing to socializing! The Club is likely to be “Open for Sailing” much of the weekend as well (check the website to confirm). The weather is forecast to be on the cooler side, so don’t forget your layers and a change of clothes. Of course, since this is Michigan, the forecast will surely change — keep an eye on it!

FRIDAY:
- Basics & Beyond Class with Anna @ 6:00 PM

SATURDAY:
- Boat School @ 9:00 AM to Noon
- Taught by our amazing volunteer instructors
- Great place to start if you’re new to the Club and ready to start working on your Basic rating!
- Lunch at Noon – $5

SUNDAY:
- Dan Rice Memorial Regatta – Skippers’ meeting @ 9:30 AM
Post-Regatta Barbecue – $10
- Anna and Paul Broughton will be making pulled pork and chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw, mixed salad and banana pudding! Yum!
- All Club members are welcome to join the barbecue!

MONDAY:
- Potluck lunch at the Club @ 1:00 PM – please bring a dish to share!
- Since this is a holiday weekend, please be extra aware of heavy boat traffic and be sure to sail safely. Sailboats generally have the right-of-way but powerboats may not give way.Come out and enjoy your club – you won’t want to miss out. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
