Rigged and Ready

Welcome to the new season!
Our teaching boats, the JY15, are ready to go. Dockmaster Ron Sell and helpers are rebuilding some sections of the dock, but it too is ready for the season. The water temperature on April 21 was a brisk 51 degrees.

Volunteers rigged most of the club’s fleet on April 20 and 21. Saturday the 20th was cold and rainy, but the 21st was a beautiful April day.

A few boats still need masts, but the club is essentially ready to go for the season.

New this year will be Wayfarer racing on Wednesday evenings, tentatively starting on May 1. Want to join the fun? Skippers and crew welcome. Contact Chas Child at chaschild@gmail.com.

Our instructors are gearing up to teach as well. All those interested in teaching are encouraged to attend the Instructor Kick-Off meeting on April 27 at 10am. A teaching refresher will be held at the club on May 4. Please contact Jeff Kaloustian at jkaloustian@gmail.com for more details.
