Congratulations, Tom!
We had more than excellent weather conditions for this Spring Laser Regatta 2021: good wind (8-18kn) and warm water, prefect on all occasions and making desirable all aspects of the game, including capsizes.
While the NOR called for up to 7 races, there were serious discussions about running an 8th race. George G. (our PRO) and his helpers have gifted us with perfect square start lines, enough to produce confusion about which was the favorable end, and long steady courses allowing for elaborate tactical games. Despite the long course, the powerful wind kept the races under 20 minutes.
Many thanks to our RC team making this event possible, including the more than welcome snack waiting for us as we came ashore. Thanks to our dedicated photographers, many, many, many, many awesome pictures are here to immortalize this great sailing feast. Click here to view photos.
And last but not least, find the results attached: Congratulations to Tom LaBelle for winning the event and showing us how it’s done. Looking forward to your next visit Tom, and learn the secrets of the trade. Our next event is the Rookie Regatta scheduled for 8/1. MSC beginner sailors, this event is dedicated to you: stay tuned. Until then I am looking forward to see all club members joining our casual Sunday racing, a great opportunity to sail with a purpose and no stress. You can find all of this race’s results here.
