Fall Fun Fest was Fabulous
Brandishing knives and cutlasses, several pirates appeared at the sailing club on October 12th. Shiver me timbers! Luckily Harry Potter and his Gryffindor companions were there to protect us all.
The weather cooperated nicely for the first annual Fall Fun Fest with sunny skies, albeit chilly temps. Gusty SW winds relegated the Silly Sailing Games to on-shore activities, which included pumpkin carving, cider and cookies, Pirate Booty snacks, nautical crafts, face-painting, a group cooperation game, campfire, and of course, the Costume Contest.
Winner of Most Nautical was Tina decked out in authentic-looking Caribbean pirate garb, complete with tricorn hat. There were two winners in the “Under age 10” category: Harry Potter and a pint-sized pirate. Note they are standing in front of the Flying Dutchman. Arrrrrg, Matey. We’ll have to do this again next year.
