Invitation to Club’s Road Trip to E. Tawas
Sailors,
You are invited to the club’s annual road trip to E. Tawas, Mich., on Lake Huron. We rent cabins on the beach of protected Tawas Bay. We tow boats from the club. And we sail for a week on big water with (hopefully) steady winds.
Here are the specifics:
When: Saturday July 14 to Saturday July 21.
Cost: About $50 per night for lodging. Meals are extra.
Meals: Group dinners in the cabins. You are responsible for breakfast and lunch.
Who is eligible: You must have the club’s basic rating or higher.

Lodging: The cabins have a mix of private rooms and sofa beds in living rooms and lofts.
Chores: Everyone who goes is required to pitch in on such tasks as towing, loading boats, unloading boats, cooking and clean-up.

So here’s the tricky part: We have reserved two cabins, and most of their spots are taken by members who went last year. We have a few open spots for the full week or for a partial week. But if we sufficient interest, We’ll try to rent another cabin or two. There is no guarantee that we can accommodate everyone.
