Rick Lyons Wins Spring Laser Regatta
On an overcast but nice day, Rick Lyons from Portage Yacht Club won the Spring Laser Regatta. Ovidiu Adam finished second and Carey Jones finished third.
Congratulations to all the participants for their effort, which reminds me of words of wisdom from Pierre de Coubertin: “The important thing […] is not to win, but to take part”. I therefore take the opportunity to encourage all the club members to take part in all the races we organize, find the fun, and enjoy the better sailing which eventually comes as a result. Special congrats to Souha and Jarett, first time committed racers. The more the merrier.
